The Project

N229ES was innocently sitting on the ramp at Johnson County Executive Airport, when a snow plow backed into the RH wing. Our company was elected to accomplish the repairs, and the airplane was flown to our shop. Repairs started with the removal of the fuel tank bladder and fuel tank liners, then the damaged skins were removed. An inspection revealed damage to the two forward fuel vent lines, which we replaced with new. New skins were fitted, trimmed and installed. We then re-installed the fuel tank liners, and fuel bladder, which the owner decided to replace with a new unit, due to the age. Painting was accomplished by ARC.

With our ever-growing inventory of specialized tooling and techniques, we were able to perform our repairs without removing the wing. This saved many labor hours for the insurance company, and got N229ES back in the air faster.

"My aircraft received wing damage from a snowplow on the ramp. I took my airplane for structural wing repair to Deason Aircraft Services in Paola, KS. Don Deason and his team did a great job repairing the wing, coordinating with my insurance company and communicating with me throughout the repair process. 5-star service."
